Secure Local Backup & Export

Your vault lives on your device — and devices can be cleared. Back up to a folder in your own cloud drive, or export spreadsheets and JSON files. Your data never touches a ClaimVault server, because there is no server.

Cloud folder sync JSON backup CSV export 100% client-side

Cloud folder sync

Choose a folder inside Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud or Nextcloud. ClaimVault writes backup files there; your cloud client handles the upload. Works in Chrome, Edge and Brave. Browsers without folder access still get full JSON download and import.

JSON and CSV export

A JSON backup restores your entire vault — items, photos, policy documents and claims — on any device. CSV export turns your inventory into a spreadsheet for insurance forms, valuers or your own records.

A backup strategy that actually works

One copy is not a backup. Keep the live vault in your browser, a JSON snapshot in your cloud folder, and refresh it whenever you add a meaningful number of items. Browser storage can be cleared by you, by updates, by privacy extensions or by OS actions — none of those touch your cloud folder.

Common questions

Can ClaimVault see my backup?

No. Files are written to a folder you choose on your own device. ClaimVault has no access to your cloud account.

How often should I back up?

After any session where you add high-value items or policy documents. A quick "Save Now" takes seconds.

What happens if I clear my browser?

Without a backup, the vault is gone. With a JSON or cloud backup, restore is a single import.
